Compatibility upgrade for UT USA in BETA - Release planned this week

It took some time, but we have worked hard with this upgrade to resolve compatibility issues between FZ01 and UT USA. We also wanted to make sure that we could apply our 'compatibility application' to all our future FlightZones (FZ02 will be fully compatible with UT USA the day its released).

What will the upgrade do:

- Resolve erroneous and/or doubled coastlines; no more water "inland", no more "false" islands, etc.

- Autogen within FZ01 will no longer disappear when UT Night Lighting features are on.

- FZ01 replaced bridges can be kept in the scenery, even if "Remove FS2004 Bridge Objects" is selected in UT USA.

- All the reworked coastlines, lakes and rivers within FZ01 can be kept over UT USA (when "Enhanced Lakes, Coasts, Rivers" is turned off in UT).

We also reduced the area covered by some of our files to reduce the conflict possibilities with other add-ons in the area.

Beta is doing good, so we're confident to release this upgrade for UT USA and FZ01 users somewhere this week. Stay tuned!

KPVD2005 is coming along quite well. There are quite a few screenshots available in the forums. Winter images can be seen here , Terminal Closeups of the terminal here, and the first images of KSFZ here.

December 18, 2004

We have decided to delay the release of KPVD2005 to first quarter 2005. We don't want to rush the product out, and we will take the time it takes to complete it to the very high levels of quality we have set. 3d work on the scenery is nearing completion and the beta phase is starting this week.  Comparison shots with real photos of the terminal are available to see on our forum. The screenshots can be seen here .

Yet another set of images has been posted in the forum. These images are mainly of KPVD itself, which is nearing completion. The screenshots can be seen here .

Welcome to Flight Scenery's new website!

We are very pleased to announce KPVD2005, our first commercial title, wich will be released for Christmas. Located just south of Providence RI, T.F. Green is a busy regional airport conveniently located between Boston and New-York. Our goal is to create highly credible custom scenery for FS2004 from a pilot's point of view.

This scenery will cover a large portion of Rhode Island and will feature:

  - KPVD and KSFZ rendered with ground breaking realism.
  - 2000sq miles of phototexture including seasons, full autogen and
seamless blending into the surrounding landclass.
  - 8000sq mile LOD 11 (18meters) mesh, Landclass, Waterclass and
    perfectly trimmed coastline.
  - VFR landmarks, dynamic and static scenery objects
  - GA traffic included on small airports as well as Commercial traffic via
    ProjectAI®, Mytraffic® or UltimateTraffic®.
  - Ultra high framerate thanks to gmax® objects and tightly integrated
    handmade code.

A few preview screenshots can be seen here.

The first scenery to come out from FlightScenery was LFRD2004, a small regional airport near the historic town of St-Malo in Brittany, France. This scenery was released freeware in March 2004 and so far has been downloaded about 25000 times on various library sites.
